How to do it, step by step
- Get a free HeyMax account. Sign up on the app or website and verify your account, which you’ll need before you can transfer miles (HeyMax Help).
Get your HeyMax account
Use referral code 536A4FB0 when you sign up. - Find your item. Search for it inside HeyMax, or copy the Shopee product link (tap Share) and press “Paste link” in HeyMax. It tells you whether the item earns Max Miles, and how many (HeyMax Help).
- Tap “Shop now” so HeyMax sends you to Shopee, then check out as usual. HeyMax says to check out with each seller separately so every order is tracked (HeyMax), and to turn off ad-blockers at checkout (HeyMax blog).
- Pay with your OCBC Rewards Card as a card payment. That’s your 6 mpd.
- Watch the miles land. Max Miles are usually tracked within about 3 days, show as Pending, then turn Approved within about 90 days (HeyMax Help). OCBC’s campaign bonus arrives by the end of the next month (15X T&Cs).
- Turn them into flights. Move OCBC$ to KrisFlyer in the OCBC app, and Max Miles to KrisFlyer (via yuu) or Asia Miles (below).
Turning Max Miles into airline miles
Max Miles are HeyMax’s own points. They become real airline miles when you transfer them. Transfers are free, the minimum is 1,000 Max Miles, and most land within 1 business day (HeyMax partner list).

Step by step: Max Miles to KrisFlyer
Here’s the part you came for. HeyMax goes to KrisFlyer through yuu Rewards Club, and it takes two quick hops:
- Link your own yuu account in HeyMax. Each HeyMax account links to one yuu account, which must be yours. The link is permanent (HeyMax Help).
- Transfer Max Miles to yuu. 1 Max Mile = 3 yuu Points, minimum 1,000 Max Miles, no fee. Usually within 3 working days, but it can take up to 14 (HeyMax Help).
- Convert yuu to KrisFlyer in the yuu app. 3.6 yuu Points = 1 KrisFlyer mile, minimum 200 yuu Points. The names on your yuu and KrisFlyer accounts must match (yuu Rewards Club).
- The maths: 1,000 Max Miles → 3,000 yuu Points → about 833 KrisFlyer miles. Your OCBC$ go straight to KrisFlyer in the OCBC app, at 25,000 OCBC$ = 10,000 miles (OCBC).
Otto’s tip
HeyMax sometimes runs yuu transfer bonuses. From 15 to 21 Oct 2026, a 20% bonus made it 1 Max Mile = 3.6 yuu Points = 1 KrisFlyer mile, for members who qualified (HeyMax). It’s worth waiting for the next one.

Monthly miles = HeyMax (6 Max Miles per S$1) + OCBC (6 miles per S$1). Max Miles reach KrisFlyer via yuu, so expect a little less once transferred. Award prices are KrisFlyer Saver, per person, before taxes and fees.
